On July 1st, India observes National Doctors Day, a chance to recognise and honour the selfless work of medical professionals.

National Doctors Day is held on July 1 every year. It is observed to honour Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a physician and former chief minister of West Bengal.

The goal of National Doctor's Day 2023 is to increase public awareness of the value of doctors and the essential part they play in our daily lives.
This day can be viewed as a chance to express gratitude to medical professionals for their outstanding efforts in saving people's lives and for the positive impact they have on society as a whole.

History Regarding Doctors Day!

National Doctor's Day honours the anniversary of the birth of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a prominent doctor and statesman who served as West Bengal's second chief minister. Dr. Roy, who was born on July 1st, 1882, made a substantial contribution to India's medical education and healthcare services. For his contributions to the medical industry, he was also given the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian distinction in India.
